Moloa'a Shangri-la is a unique vacation rental on the stunningly beautiful north shore of Kauai within easy walking distance of gorgeous Moloa'a Bay (The Gilligan’s Island pilot episode was filmed on Moloa’a Bay!). The grounds of the estate include a salt-water swimming pool with a waterfall, a Jacuzzi, and unparalleled views. (The owner of the estate has homes in Bali and has modeled her estate in an exotic Balinese theme. Balinese statues, artwork and architectural accents adorn the grounds and living areas.)
The combination of the tropical Kauai landscape with a Balinese theme makes staying at Moloa'a Shangri-la an otherworldly experience that will stay with you a lifetime.
The Estate consists of the Main Home which features a two bedroom upper-level with sleeping loft, and a one bedroom lower-level. The upper- and lower-levels of the Main Home each have full-sized baths and separate entrances (and there is a 1600 sq. foot lanai!).
Attached to the Main Home is a newly built addition which provides an additional king-sized bed, two double-sized opium beds, work-out room, 42" flat-screen television, pool table, sauna, and much more!!!
The property also offers a free-standing honeymoon cottage nestled in a corner of the Estate well removed from the Main Home, which is where Brett and I will call home for the 5 days of our stay.
We felt this was the perfect location for our wedding. It’s weird and eccentric enough to be just perfect! Check out the photos, as well as some links (below) that showcase the home and grounds. 15 acres all to ourselves!
(We are hoping to have our immediate family stay with us at the home – all who can fit – but have posted under ‘the Accommodations’ tab a variety of hotel and rental home close to the location for our extended family and friends. We want everyone to be as close to us as possible!)
